The topics this week are the three Fs: Facebook, Fun, and Function. In my opening news and commentary, I address why I left Facebook over its privacy policies. For Fun, associate editor David Chartier joins me to talk about the newly-released Mac version of Valve's Steam game delivery service. And on the Function front, executive editor Philip Michaels chats with Macworld's Dan Miller, Dan Moren, and Chris Holt about essential iPad apps.

I tried to get to the nut of why I quit Facebook in my opening comments. If you'd like a fuller story, read Why I Left Facebook. If you'd like to also leave Facebook--and make a statement when doing so--visit We're Quitting Facebook. Additionally, it's worth noting that Facebook is reportedly debating its privacy changes. I sincerely hope so as I'd like to rejoin if the service can get its privacy house in order. Given past performance, however, I'm not holding my breath.
David's a Steam veteran from way back. You can read his impressions of the Mac version in First Look: Steam for Mac.
The Macworld crew mentions quite a few of their favorite iPad apps. No need to stand by, frantically taking notes as you listen. Just read through Essential iPad Apps: 11 Paid Favorites--parts two and three of our look at essential iPad apps will appear later this week.
