Nintendo Announces the 3DS, a Slew of Games at E3

The back of the Nintendo 3DS features a pair of cameras that players can use to take 3D photos.

One of the new titles announced for the Nintendo 3DS is a brand-new version of Nintendogs, which features improved graphics, facial and motion recognition with the built-in camera (so the dog can recognize different "owners" and respond to your head movement), and...cats!

Nintendo also announced a new Mario Kart game as one of the upcoming titles for the Nintendo 3DS. Get ready for another round of speeding, sliding, and shell-shooting in 3D!

The Sims 3 is coming to the Nintendo 3DS, and it looks like the improved visuals will let you get up close and personal with your new Sims.You'll also be able to use the built-in camera for face mapping, and it looks like the 3DS's revamped connectivity features will give you new ways to play with other Sims as well.

Fan favorite Star Fox 64 will also be making an appearance on the Nintendo 3DS as Star Fox 64 3D, with revamped visuals and controls. Do a barrel roll!

Your Mii avatars residing in your Nintendo Wii will get to party this holiday season in Wii Party, a newly-announced Wii title starring your Miis in a series of Mario Party-esque minigames. Party hats optional.

Donkey and Diddy Kong are returning to their 2D platforming roots in a new Donkey Kong Country title for the Wii, due out during the 2010 holiday season.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the next installment of this popular game series. It'll feature a new look and feel, and will require the Wii MotionPlus to play. Expect it in 2011.

The latest addition to the Pokémon series, Pokémon Ranger Guardian Signs will come to the Nintendo DS this fall.
