The Nintendo 3DS takes the wildly popular Nintendo DSi design and adds a 3.5-inch wide 3D display on the top half--no glasses needed. The slider on the right-hand side of the top half will allow the player to adjust the 3D effect as desired. Also, it looks like the new analog "slide button" (above the directional pad on the left-hand side) will offer tighter controls for 3D games.
