Play This! Podcast: Do you level up?

This week, Veronica Belmont joins us in the studio. You may recognize her from all over the Internet. You know, from shows like TechZilla or Sword and Laser, or any of the other fifty billion video projects she seems to be involved in. In our stuffy little studio, she talks with the gang about Letterpress, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, and more.

Links from this week's episode:

  • Check out the Geek & Sundry channel on YouTube.
  • We all like Letterpress. Except for Alex. And maybe Veronica.
  • If you want to learn to play guitar, you could do worse than to pick up RockSmith.
  • Watch 22 James Bond movies, strung together 5 minutes at a time. It's amazing.
  • If you don't want to pay for professional HDTV calibration, head to TweakTV to find some good default settings.
  • Carlos is taken by Saturday Morning RPG, which is full of 80s references. Also full of references is Retro City Rampage, which is apparently not a good game.
  • If you're into Battlestar Galactica, you'll want to watch the web series Blood and Chrome. And if you're into Halo, you can do a lot worse than the live-action Forward Unto Dawn web series.
  • The interactive comic Upgrade Soul does a lot of neat stuff to immerse you in the story.
  • Veronica loves Whispersync as it allows her to double-up on reading time, listening to audio books and then reading the text without missing a beat.
  • Play around with Infinite Jukebox all day. With some songs it works great, with so much.
