Office 2013 introduces design refinements and usability improvements for connected users, but the price of upgrading may put off Office 2010 users who can get similar cloud functionality with free third-party services.

Lowest price: $285.00 via Software Supply Source

Pros

  • Sleek new design, seamless cloud integration
  • Usability tweaks are generally sensible

Cons

  • Higher prices for perpetual license; subscription model is pricey unless you have four or five PCs
