Canon's PowerShot S90 is the best shirt-pocket compact we've ever used: it has full manual controls that approach the tools on a DSLR and takes great pictures in just about any lighting situation. The PowerShot SD4000 IS, on the other hand, is an everyday point-and-shoot camera that offers some manual controls and stellar image quality.
