Sony gave the world its first glimpse of the PS4 in February, but it was like looking at an eclipse—only the peripherals were visible. We saw the touchpad-equipped DualShock 4 controller, which can be tracked by the vaguely Kinect-ish PlayStation 4 Eye dual-camera system. But Sony left out such crucial details as the exact release date (in time for the holidays this year is all we know), the price, and even what the console itself will look like. Even if the company isn’t ready to tip its hand on price or street date at E3, we expect to see the AMD-fueled hardware itself, as well as the launch lineup of games.
The pressure will be on to outdo Microsoft’s press conference earlier in the day, so join us for live coverage from Los Angeles.
