Tech manufacturers, product designers and industry experts gathered in New York this week for the Wearable Tech Expo where health and fitness took center stage. As you’ll see in this video report, the ability to get feedback about your body and the growing demand from consumers for technology that helps them monitor their well-being is driving wearable tech.
Among the technology feature in this report is a smart posture and movement system from LumoBack. The system includes a belt that transmits posture information to iOS devices to give feedback to users about whether they are standing, sitting or sleeping in a healthy posture. (The company was also on hand at Macworld/iWorld earlier this year.)
Also featured is Sync Burn, wristwatch-type fitness tracker device from EB Sport Group. The watch can record steps taken, calories burned and pulse rate. The device syncs to a smartphone for a much deeper dive into the fitness data.
