Find out which Web services are down at Downrightnow
Facebook, Twitter, even Gmail -- all major Web services experience outages from time to time.
Of course, if you're not sure what's happening, you can pull your hair out trying to figure out what's wrong with your computer.
Maybe something is, and maybe something isn't. The key is to find out where the problem lies. And that's where Downrightnow comes in: This handy site monitors the status of over a dozen major services, everything from Blogger to Yahoo.
Just head over to see up-to-the-minute data (which combine "official" announcements with user reports) on any site that's giving you trouble (won't load, won't send messages, etc.).
If you want specifics about any site's status, click the Details button. And if you want to share a report of your own, click Report an Issue. You can also use Twitter to share site info.
This is one of those truly handy sites that's definitely worth a bookmark. If nothing else, it'll help you troubleshoot connectivity problems. If Facebook won't load, for example, maybe it's not a Windows issue. Or an ISP outage. Maybe it's just Facebook.
