They say the first rule of real estate is location, location, location, which means the second rule of real estate is probably now apps, apps, and apps. Now, alongside the Zillows and Trulia’s of the app store you can add Estately.

Over 200 results can be shown on Estately's map view

Announced today, the iOS-only Estately app aims to provide users with the very best real estate search functionality. The app, which was designed with iOS 7 in mind, has a direct relationship with over 70 MLSes (Multiple Listing Service) which means that Estately has 20% more home listings than national sites in metro areas, and covers over 90% of the top 500 U.S. cities.

In addition to its blanket coverage, the Estately app also updates every 15 minutes—that’s updates both details on established listings, and details on new homes for sale—meaning that over 100 listings are updated per second. The app covers all types of sale properties (residential, condos, etc) and can show up to 200 listings at a time on the map view.

Searches can be saved, and Estately will notify you when one of your chosen domiciles is listed, drops in price, or sells. It can also show you instant drive times from your location to the property you’re searching, provide details on which nearby schools service the property, and can add an open house to your calendars with a single tap.

The iPad version is not yet optimized for a tablet view, and there are no plans as of yet to expand the app to Android users; CEO Galen Ward told TechHive the intention is to make the initial app incredibly fluid for users before branching out to another operating system.
