Samsung had a busy day Monday at Mobile World Congress, introducing a new flagship phone, updating its smartwatch, and coming out with a new wearable aimed at monitoring your fitness. We’ve already reported on the details about the Galaxy S5 phone, the new and hopefully improved Gear smartwatch lineup, and the Gear Fit fitness-tracker. Now Melissa Riofrio takes you on a video tour of these new products.
To recap, the Galaxy S5 features a new perforated texture on its back, an improved camera, and—in a first for smartphones—a heartrate monitor. The Gear 2 watch now runs on the Tizen OS instead of Android, and it promises longer batter life; there’s a Gear 2 Neo watch as well. As for the Gear Fit, Samsung says its wristband will record pedometer data, along with heart rate information; it also sends alerts for incoming calls, SMS, alarms, email, and calendar items.
Samsung says its new products will arrive on April 11 in around 150 countries.
In addition to appearing in this video, Melissa also takes a closer look at the Gear wearables.
