Now, don’t get too excited. It’s only a tweet. But Twitter’s famed tech industry leak-monger, @evleaks, he of the generally successful track record, just tweeted specs for the still unsubstantiated “Google Watch” that’s apparently going to be manufactured by LG:

The claimed RAM and storage specs—identical to those of Samsung’s upcoming Gear 2— suggest a rather robust wearable. The display specs, meanwhile, fall short of Samsung’s latest smartwatches, which hit a 320x320 resolution.

Should we take the tweet seriously? Hey, it’s a tweet. The word “tweet” itself doesn’t sound very substantial or credible. It’s the sound that a baby bird makes. But let’s not forget how Ev accurately revealed the imminent arrival of Samsung’s Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo, one day before they were announced at Mobile World Congress:

I really, really, really want a pure, simple, unfussy Google Now watch. In fact, I wrote the press release for the leaked hardware already.
