Black Friday is gone, Cyber Monday is history, and Cyber Week is over, but the deals are still around--if you know where to look. Thoughts: Finding a good deal for a MacBook beyond the refurbished bin is tough. Sure, if you want to buy a Mac, you're going to buy a Mac, regardless of bargains. But if you're getting a Mac anyway, why not save yourself $60?

Thoughts: This system originally sold for $500 but has since dropped down to about $450 on average. So the savings aren't huge here, but the value for what you get at $427 makes this computer worth a look.

Thoughts: At the time of this writing, this HP laptop was out of stock online but still available in most stores. It's a good deal, and $100 off RadioShack's mid-November price.

Thoughts: For $400 you get a serviceable computer with a decent amount of RAM, a reasonable hard-drive size, and a good processor.

Thoughts: The biggest drawback of this laptop is that you have to pay an extra $50 for it up front, but Staples' online Easy Rebate system makes this deal a bit more palatable than a mail-in rebate.

OFFICE MAX: Acer Aspire 15.6-Inch Laptop for $400

Model: AS5736Z-4790

Specs: 4GB DDR3 RAM, 320GB hard drive (5400 rpm), 2.3GHz Intel Pentium T4500 processor, Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit), 15.6-inch LCD screen

Thoughts: A close cousin of the Walmart Acer laptop shown earlier, this notebook has a wimpier processor; everything else, however, is pretty much the same. If you can deal with a slower computer, save yourself another $150 with this deal from Office Max.
