Ah, it's that time of the year again, to gather together around Geekmas with friends and loved ones. But if you've had enough holiday cheer and need something more geeky, check out Nerd Nite in San Francisco, which takes place December 15 at 7:30 at the Rickshaw Stop.
As the name implies, Nerd Nite is an event where you get together with fellow nerds, grab a drink and watch some awesome presentations and that play mental gymnastics with your brain. Nerd Nite began in Boston as an informal gathering full of nerdery, and has since spread to other cities.
There will be three presentations at Nerd Nite SF #7: “California Gulls: The Phantom Menace” by Julia Scott, “Our Brain’s Perspective on Distraction and Multitasking” by Adam Gazzaley, and “OpenKinect – One Month In” by Kyle Machulis. On December 15th you'll learn about all kinds of fascinating things like the seagull baby boom and the limitations of the brain. If biology isn't your thing, then pick up a drink at the full bar and find yourself a Nerdmate.
