EgoBook Takes the Term 'Facebook' Literally

Have you ever looked through your Facebook profile and said to yourself, "Wow, this would make a great book"? Yeah, neither have I. But don't let that stop you! EgoBook is a Facebook app that lets you turn your Facebook profile into an actual book (yes, those things made of paper).

If you're paranoid about Facebook security, here's what you need to know first: The EgoBook Facebook app pulls in wall posts, photos, and comments in from your Facebook profile, so it will require giving the app access to your profile. According to the EgoBook terms of use (read them!), EgoBook will retrieve the data it needs to assemble a book from your profile, and store it on its servers for 48 hours or so. EgoBook says that it removes your information from its servers once it's done with creating the book, and notes that it doesn't sell your information to third parties.

Pricing for an EgoBook starts around $22.45 US. If you're interested, head on over to the EgoBook page on Facebook.
