Gamewatch: Kevin Van Dam Fishing, The Sims 3 Outdoor Living

Welcome to the first week of February (well, almost), aka the slowest month of the year for video games. Not to slight poor Kevin Van Dam Fishing (PS3), but when one of your story leads involves a game that lets you pro-angle largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass for tournament play, well, caution. And when the Wii version supported motion controls last November, but this version eschews PlayStation Move support entirely, warning.

Keeping it active yuppie-style, The Sims 3: Outdoor Living (PC) adds suburban luxuries to your carefully cultivated patios and backyards. Drop in hot tubs, "ultimate BBQ" grills, fire pits and more, it's the expansion pack closet upper-middle-class bon vivants have (apparently) been dreaming of. Alas, I can't find a trailer for the game (way to go, EA!) so you'll just have to settle for this two-year-old The Sims 3 game teaser instead.

The rest due this week, by platform.

PC: Breach, Jewel Quest V: The Sleepless Star, The Ball

Xbox 360: Two Worlds II Royal Edition, Rock Band: Country Track Pack 2

PlayStation 3: Two Worlds II Royal Edition, Rock Band: Country Track Pack 2
