Hide Unwanted Updates

Artman asked the Windows forum how to hide unwanted Windows updates.

This is simple--at least if you're using Vista or Windows 7. This tip doesn't work in XP.

In the list of updates, right-click one you know you're not going to want and select Hide update. The update won't go away immediately, but the next time you visit the list, it won't be there.

Should you regret your decision, you can always click the Restore hidden updates link in the first Windows Update screen (the one that tells you how many updates are available but doesn't list them).

This will bring you to a list of your hidden updates so you can unhide them.
