Rice and a sock--that's all you need to make your own wrist rest. If you prefer, you can use other pellet-like fillers, including cherry pits, beanbag filling, or anything else you can get your hands on. If you use rice, however, you can heat the wrist rest or cool it to help your overworked wrists relax.
Pour rice into the sock you've chosen (an athletic sock works best).
Twist the sock to close it, and make a nice, strong knot. If you’re supercrafty, you can try sewing the sock shut.
