There are few more annoying programs on the planet than the Adobe
Acrobat reader. It's slow, buggy, and seems to slow down entire
systems whenever it's loaded. If you're tired of the problems, give
this freebie a try. It kills most of the program's annoyances,
including disabling the splash screen, killing the piped-in ads in
the upper-right corner of the Reader toolbar, turning off the
invisible updates feature that sucks up RAM and system resources,
halting plug-ins from being loaded?and more as well. Using the
program is as simple as it gets --- click the Optimize button and
it does its work. To restore your original settings, click Restore.
You can also customize which features it optimizes, and which it
leaves as is. The program works with versions 3 through 7 of Adobe
Acrobat Reader.
The new release has fixed the ListBox Out Of Bound bug, and
comes with a multi-lingual interface. Supported interface languages
are English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, and
Japanese.
