36-image converter

Have a photo that you'd like to convert to a different graphics format? Then you'll want to try 36-Image Converter. This freebie can read and convert photos to many different types of formats, and not just the usual suspects such as .jpg, .gif, .png, .tif, , and .bmp. And it can even convert pictures to .ico and .cur formats, which means that you can turn your pictures into icons and cursors.

36-Image Converter does much more than that, though. There are also some very nice photo editing tools, including some for resizing, rotating, cropping, setting transparency, darkening, and adding special effects. It's not nearly as powerful a tool as the GIMP, but it's much easier to use. PhotoScape is better for editing as well, but if you're interested in nothing more complicated than a file converter with editing tools, 36-Image Converter is a very good bet.

Note: This file is flagged by some antivirus programs as malware. The vendor says this is a false positive caused by the installer. The vendor is aware of the problem and plans to replace the installer in the next version.
