Easy Burning

The program consists of a single dialog, so you don't have to hunt around tunneled dialogs for things. However, there are so many advanced options--such as Joliet mode, Auto-activate Burnproof, and force ASPI over SPTI--cluttering the home page. Choosing files and folders to burn is such a convoluted process that many users will probably quit long before ever pressing the "burn" button.

I probably wouldn't have led off this review so negatively if it weren't for the misleading name. Easy Burning and the author's other freely downloadable disc-related utilities work quite well. But they're not the best choice for the average user, who should look to others that are easier to understand and use, such as InfraRecorder Portable. If you do have a high geek quotient, by all means avail yourself of Not-Exactly-Easy-but-Loaded-With-Options Burning here. Having everything on one page will save you time.

Note: This program is donationware. It is free to try, but the author accepts and encourages donations towards further development. This link takes you to the vendor's site, where you can download the latest version of the software.
