For elementary tasks, there's a macro recorder that records your keystrokes, and uses them for the basis of macros. For more complex tasks, there's a MacroScript language and more than 250 script commands. The program even includes the ability to capture text from a screen.

You don't need to be a pro to use this program; you can start creating macros as soon as you install it. Recording macros, and then using them to automate tasks is quite easy. Learning the scripting language will take you much more time. If you're already familiar with scripting, you'll catch on relatively quickly. If you haven't scripted before, expect a learning curve.

If you don't frequently need to automate complex tasks, Macro Scheduler is overkill. But those who want to eliminate mind-numbing repetition will find it a great help.
