CompUSA PII-333

CompUSA PII-333

CompUSA's PII-333 has a great price for a Pentium II-333-powered PC, but everything else about this machine spells generic. Shipped with a network card, this midtower is best suited as an inexpensive, fairly quick, and very simple small-business machine. Its speed is slightly below average for its class, both the graphics and sound chips are integrated onto the system board, and the speakers are Altec Lansing's low-end models. The internal expansion slots are accessible, but you're limited to a single PCI slot. CompUSA provides a one-year warranty and round-the-clock toll-free service, but we were not especially impressed with the quality of its technical support. Though most of the help we received was accurate, one technical support representative was not only condescending but also gave us wrong information.
