Do you want to use your own photographs as desktop wallpaper? Sure, you can use Windows 7's Personalization window to point your desktop wallpaper to a folder full of photos--that lets you choose one set of images and display them either full-screen, centered, or cropped. Yawn. How about loading Steve Wehrmann's WallpaperPRO and enjoying 3D special effects and an almost unlimited choice of backgrounds, plus access to all of your photo libraries?
WallpaperPRO installs quickly and is simple to use. Most of its features are completely intuitive, and a trip to Wehrmann's well-organized website can answer any questions you might have. In about 5 minutes I downloaded the program, fired it up, and customized my own desktop wallpaper slide show with a personalized background. If I'd wanted to, I could have easily fed in all my photographs and organized them into neat "shortcuts," then set up the program to cycle through the sets of photos to provide an ever-changing slide show.
The WallpaperPRO demo is fully functional. Paying $10 removes the nag screens--and helps to support further development. If you want to enjoy your photo library in a novel way, this is money well spent.
