Lenovo's 14-inch ThinkPad Edge E420 is designed for businesses on a budget, or students who won't be doing a lot of gaming or video editing. When we reviewed the all-purpose laptop last month, we gave it 4 out of 5 stars but dinged it for performance on processor-intensive tasks like games. Back in July the modest Intel i3 configuration that we tested sold for $719, but now you can get a very similar setup for only $480 from TigerDirect.
