You may be tempted by the low $1178 price on the Power Spec 4630, but a bare-bones, one-year parts-and-labor warranty and skimpy documentation should at least make you think twice. The system boasts neither top-notch sound nor impressive monitor quality, and its software bundle is limited to Microsoft Works (you can upgrade to Office 97 Small Business Edition for an additional $180 at the time of purchase), Microsoft Money, Encarta, and the Microsoft Entertainment Pack #1. The system offers just two free expansion slots and a pair of open drive bays. You'll probably also want to double the stock 32MB of RAM for starters. There's not a lot to recommend this system ... except, perhaps, the price.
