This colorful Halloween wallpaper has it all--grinning Jack-o-lanterns, haunted houses, and a harvest moon.

Get into the spirit of the season with Autumn Harbinger Desktop Wallpaper, which features grinning skeletal Jack-o-lanterns wishing you a happy Halloween against a rising harvest moon. The colors are autumnal and Halloweeny, and the effect is cheerful in a slightly creepy way. Unlike much of designer Chad Savage's imagery, this desktop wallpaper is perfectly appropriate for children.

Autumn Harbinger features cheerful Halloween greetings in Savage's Exquisite Corpse font, which is available for free from his Sinister Fonts site. If you like that typeface, you'll also want to download Sinister Visions Font Quartet--which features four of Savage's creepy TrueType fonts. And if you really love fonts, check out our Halloween collection.

Savage is offering Autumn Harbinger desktop wallpaper on PCWorld.com exclusively, along with Zombo-O-Lanterns (which may be too scary for some children).

Note: The Autumn Harbinger download contains the same wallpaper in two different aspect ratios: 1600 x 1200 and 2650 x 1800. Just unzip the archived file, double-click the image file that best suits your monitor, and then right-click and select Set as desktop background.
