[Photo: Behringer]So apparently this 8-foot wide, 4-foot tall speaker is actually an iPhone and iPod dock. If you squint hard enough, you can probably make out what is indeed an iPod up on top.
This biggest and badass-iest of iPod speaker docks comes to us from Behringer, and it’s called the iNuke Boom. The speaker weighs 700 pounds and it can pump out a deafening 10,000 watts of sound. Put those figures together and you won’t just be rocking the house, you’ll cause a mini-earthquake for your entire block.
Behringer will be introducing the iNuke Boom in January at CES 2012, along with a host of 50 other commercial audio products from its new Eurosound sub-brand. But you might want to start saving up now if you want this iPod mega amplifier for two reasons: First, you are going to need to install hydraulics into your foundation, and second, this beast will cost $30,000.
Is this speaker utter lunacy or awesome sauce? Leave a comment.
