Nokia Plans to Launch First LTE Windows Phone on AT&T

Nokia CEO Stephen Elop took to the stage at AT&T’s Developer Summit keynote at CES to confirm a longstanding rumor: Nokia’s first LTE Windows Phone will be on AT&T. Elop didn’t reveal what the phone will be, but it is highly likely we’ll find out more this afternoon at Nokia’s press conference.

In October, Nokia showed off its first Windows Phones, the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710. The Lumia 710 is coming to T-Mobile in the next few days. Windows Phone and Nokia fans are keeping their fingers crossed that a phone closer to the higher-end Lumia 800 will be coming to the United States as well.

AT&T also announced another LTE Windows Phone, the HTC Titan, which will debut on the carrier before the Nokia phone.

We’ll be at Nokia’s press conference today, which starts at 3 PM PT. Will it be similar to the Lumia 800? Or even better? Check back this afternoon to find out.
