Scalado Remove Fixes Photobomb Moments

Have your ever lined up the perfect photo, only to have someone walk by at the last moment and ruin your whole composition? You can wait for a lull in foot traffic, or you could try Scalado’s new Remove system to delete unwanted elements--such as people and cars--from your pictures.

Scalado Remove works by creating a composite image from multiple shots. It uses the data from the multiple images to automatically remove objects and fill in the background behind them. Alternatively, you could manually remove highlighted objects, leaving you with a pristine image of only your subject and the backdrop.

Although Remove is currently being rolled out as a demo app for Gingerbread Android devices, it is being marketed to camera manufacturers. We’ll likely see Remove as a camera feature, instead of an app on the smartphone marketplaces.

We will see if this mind-blowing technology really works when it is shown off at Mobile World Congress 2012 at the end of the month.
