CTX VL950ST
CTX VL950ST
WHAT'S HOT: The VL950ST's case tilts and swivels easily, and it comes with a standard three-year warranty. The VL950ST also meets the TCO'99 emission standard.
WHAT'S NOT: Below-average image quality on both text and graphics cost this model a spot on the chart. The colors in photos of a fruit tart and of runners in a race lacked richness, and the VL950ST was notably unable to render a uniformly bright screen. Also, the VL950ST comes with only 12-hour weekday support--inconvenient for home users.
WHAT ELSE: The VL950ST features a degauss button on the front panel, useful for those who degauss their monitors regularly. On-screen controls are easy to navigate, though not all of them have percentages and numeric gauges, which could hinder your ability to determine how much of a change you are making. At $479, the VL950ST is priced reasonably.
BEST USE: Small businesses working mostly with text and looking for a moderately priced monitor.
