Audiovox MP-1000

WHAT'S HOT: Audiovox makes excellent use of its display space. The small font allows for viewing of nearly complete song title with no scrolling. Its rounded shape gives it a distinct look, and it features music from a wide array of recognizable artists, including the Beatles, Barenaked Ladies, and Barry White. Its $180 price makes the MP-1000 the least expensive player we reviewed.

WHAT'S NOT: The unit offers only 32MB of storage, and though the product's design is aesthetically pleasing, the unit has an overall flimsy feel to it.

WHAT ELSE: The MP-1000's bright backlight and good font size make for easy song selection in the dark. If you like music loud, this unit surely satisfies.

BEST USE: The MP-1000 suits those who want a relatively inexpensive player and would like to listen to loud music.
