I-Jam

WHAT'S HOT: About the best thing going for this unit is its design, which makes it small enough to fit comfortably in your palm.

WHAT'S NOT: The I-Jam lacks features other players have, including a backlight. Documentation lacks necessary information on how to transfer music files from your computer to the device. The readme text file that accompanies the install contains only one line of instruction. Second, the headphone jack is one of the flimsiest we've seen; sound periodically cut off from the headphones even when the I-Jam was immobile.

WHAT ELSE: The unit features an FM tuner, which gets pretty clear reception. It's the one feature that many players do not come equipped with.

BEST USE: If you absolutely must have a very small MP3 player and want an FM tuner. Otherwise look elsewhere.
