Box OneCloud Now Supports Android Devices

Enterprise cloud storage services provider Box on Monday announced that its OneCloud mobile cloud service now supports Android devices. Starting today, users of the service can access Android apps and store and share Android files.

Launched in March, Box's OneCloud enterprise public cloud platform serves up mobile applications, stores data and facilitates online file sharing and collaboration.

OneCloud already offers 50 applications for Apple iOS-powered devices, and today it's adding 50 Android applications to the lineup.

Additionally, Box will bundle the top Android apps of select Snapdragon partners into OneCloud at no cost.

"Box OneCloud offers the most complete suite of productivity tools for today's post-PC enterprise," said Aaron Levie, co-founder and CEO of Box. "The way people work today is radically changing. Box provides IT departments and the mobile workforce with a unified platform to securely manage their applications and content from any device or location."

Box OneCloud provides access to business content across mobile applications, tablets and smartphones. The roster of newly available Android apps includes productivity services from iAnnotate, Breezy, Docusign Ink and Fetchnotes.

Box today also introduced a new OneCloud SDK that Android developers can use to build apps to run in the Box cloud.
