Sony may have accidently raised the curtain on its latest device, the Xperia Z4 Tablet.

It made a brief cameo inside of Sony's own Xperia Lounge app before someone realized the error and pulled it back. Before it disappeared, however, Xperia blog grabbed a screenshot that offers a few details.

Someone at Sony pulled the trigger too quickly with the latest tablet release.

The tablet will apparently pack a 2K display, which could make for some appealing video watching and gaming. Other specs weren't as specific: an "ultra fast" processor and "industry leading battery performance" are part of the package, but we'll have to get our hands on one to see if those promises pan out.

A March 3 release date indicates that Sony is likely to show it off at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week. We'll be there to see what Sony and all the other major device manufacturers have to show off.

Why this matters: Sony may be dialing back its mobile business, potentially selling off its Xperia division altogether. Yet the company isn't throwing in the towel yet, with the Z4 Tablet and potentially other devices on the way. Sony's last Xperia phone was pretty solid, so we're interested to see what the company can do with its newest tablet.
