The newest SwiftKey update puts all your passwords just a couple of taps away thanks to a partnership with Dashlane.

The update to the popular predictive keyboard elevates several features previously available in SwiftKey Beta to the final build. The new version also reorganizes the settings in a new home called the Hub, switches up the default theme, and adds in several Indian languages.

The new version of SwiftKey integrates with Dashlane, revamps the main theme, and tweaks the settings.

The story behind the story: SwiftKey is one of the most popular third-party keyboards in the Play Store. It was the first to advance predictive abilities through analysis of typing patterns and word usage in email and social media account. SwiftKey is also very customizable with multiple themes for sale.

Integration with Dashlane

The most intriguing new feature is how the keyboard incorporates Dashlane, a popular password manager. According to SwiftKey, the keyboard will recognize when you are on a site or form that requires a password. You can then select the appropriate login, eliminating the need to try and remember or jump to another app to track down the password.

You’ll need to jump through a few hoops in both Dashlane and SwiftKey to enable this feature.

In terms of the redesign, the major revamp comes in the form of the SwiftKey Hub. It’s the new home for settings and other key options. They’re organized by Material Design-style cards so settings, themes, keystroke savings, and other details are easy to find. The hub is accessible by long-pressing the “123” key or touching the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) at the top left.

SwiftKey also introduces Carbon as its new default theme, which is darker and more consistent with Google’s Material Design.

Sadly, the company still offers no GIF keyboard.

SwiftKey also now supports Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi, and Nepali languages. The new version of SwiftKey is rolling out now in the Play Store.
