Foursquare is now just a couple of swipes away on your Android Wear smartwatch.
The latest Foursquare update brings Android Wear support, which puts a dedicated app on your small screen and sends push alerts when you’re nearby a place worth checking out.
The Android Wear app lets you conduct a voice search or find suggestions from categories like food, coffee, nightlife, breakfast, and several others. If you have Android Wear 5.1, touch the home screen and then scroll through your lists of apps until you come to Foursquare.
The story behind the story: Foursquare recently revamped its service, moving its social components with check-ins to a separate app called Swarm. Foursquare is now more like a Yelp competitor, offering details and reviews about new places to discover. While it offers good details, it feels missing without the organic and real-time feed of check-ins that made the app such a hit when it launched.
