Network managers know that optimized hard disks dramatically improve performance and speed network response. Now out: Executive Software's Diskeeper 6, a new version of its popular defragger. Its Workstation and Server editions come in versions for Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, and 2000. The Server edition also enables an administrator to deploy and control Diskeeper programs in the network from a console. At $49 per user, $29 to upgrade, Diskeeper isn't a cheap upgrade from Windows' Disk Defragmenter. Its strong management features do make it a nice addition for Windows users on a network.
