2. Install the Decoder Card

Turn off your PC, unplug it, and remove the cover.

  1. Ground yourself, preferably with an antistatic wrist strap clipped to a grounded, metal object.

  2. Find a free PCI expansion slot and remove the metal cover on the back of the slot.

  3. Carefully slide the card into the slot, making sure it's firmly seated.

  4. Secure it with a screw.
