Dell Warns of Faulty Latitude LM Power Adapters
Company is replacing faulty power supply adapters for Latitude LM notebook PCs.
Although no customers have been injured to date, the company is in the process of arranging a replacement of all Latitude LM power supply adapters as a precautionary measure. The faulty units are easily identified through the first eight digits of a bar code number located on the bottom of the adapter. The first eight digits on the faulty adapters are 00097689 or 00099500.
Customers with the faulty adapters should contact their local Dell office, or in the United States call 604/810-4946 for a free replacement, the company said. A replacement can also be ordered through Dell%squots Web site (see link at right).
