Verity KeyView Pro 6.0 Is a Real File Opener

This file utility lets you view, print, convert, and compress more than 200 file formats plus a free add-on that lets you encrypt top secret documents and messages.

For $49, you can open practically any document without its original application. This latest release of KeyView includes support for the Microsoft, Lotus, and Corel 97 office suites, plus XyWrite, Applix Words, and Enhanced Metafile formats. You can also view, edit, and convert e-mail attachments and files downloaded from the Web. KeyView Pro converts both text documents and graphics and will convert a batch of files simultaneously.

If Web work is part of your routine, you can use KeyView Pro 6.0 to convert word processing and spreadsheet documents to HTML and vice versa. KeyView supports live links: The default browser is launched when a user clicks a link in pages from the Web or HTML documents. The utility integrates with Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Netscape Navigator and Communicator; it also supports third-party plug-ins.

KeyView Pro 6.0 supports legacy viewer and Pretty Good Privacy add-ons. These programs are available for free from the CD-ROM or Verity%squots Web site. PGP lets users decrypt files, encrypt and decrypt e-mail messages, and view contents of encrypted files without launching them.

The utility runs on Windows 3.11, 95, and NT and is scheduled to ship November 3.
