Cornerstone Peripherals C1030
WHAT'S HOT: If a low price is your main objective, then you might want to turn your attention to the C1030. At $549, it's one of the lowest-priced 21-inch models available.
WHAT'S NOT: Unfortunately, the quality of the C1030's text and graphics could have been much better. Text at smaller point sizes proved difficult to read at 1600 by 1200 resolution, and colors looked dull and washed-out, particularly in a photo of fruit.
WHAT ELSE: Though the documentation is fairly thorough, it leaves out definitions of the controls. However, it does explain how to make adjustments, and the controls are fairly easy to use, once you get used to using an almost-hidden scroll button located underneath the front bezel.
UPSHOT: Users concerned primarily with price might be interested in the C1030, but its sub-par image quality should deter most buyers.
