New features include extensive options for creating 3D text overlays for images, improved button and background designers, and a GIF animator. Ulead has also added a much-needed preview feature that shows how your PhotoImpact creations will look when viewed in different browsers. A new URL-aware %dquotalbum%dquot manages both local and Web-based images. PhotoImpact%squots interface is customizable for various levels of expertise but is mainly designed for serious Web work. For a street price of $100, you get a powerful two-CD package with 3000 photos, 450 animations, an interactive tutorial, and a 300-page manual.
