Iiyama Vision Master Pro 511

WHAT'S HOT: The Pro 511 is suitable for all sorts of professionals, especially graphic artists or those who spend a significant amount of time reading text on screen. This monitor displayed bright and luminous images, particularly in our Web page subjective tests. Photos in our tests showed good contrast and excellent detail and color.
Iiyama offers user-friendly bezel and on-screen controls. We didn't need the excellent documentation thanks to a handy help balloon that pops up and provides descriptions of menu items when they are selected in the on-screen controls. The balloons are easily turned on and off through the on-screen menu, which disappears rather quickly. The timeout can be adjusted on screen to 3, 5, 15, 30, or 45 seconds.
WHAT'S NOT: The Iiyama display seemed slightly out of focus in our Excel spreadsheet tests, and it provided a little too much contrast and saturation in our test photograph. Iiyama offers only 12 hours of weekday technical support, a bit skimpy compared with other vendors with monitors on our chart.
WHAT ELSE: Its maximum resolution of 1800 by 1440 is above average for a 21-inch monitor.
UPSHOT: Overall, this model showed good contrast and excellent detail and color, an excellent value for graphics professionals.
