Hewlett-Packard P1120
WHAT'S HOT: This model deserves its score of Excellent for text quality. In our Windows Millennium desktop test, the P1120 proved easy on the eyes with sharp text and icons. Colors in our test photo looked rich, but with a tad too much contrast. The monitor's maximum resolution of 1920 by 1440 is higher than most of the 21-inch monitors we tested.
WHAT'S NOT: At $1009, this is one of the most expensive 21-inch chart monitors we've tested recently. HP's tech support for the 1120 is very thin considering its price, at only 11 weekday hours, toll-free.
WHAT ELSE: Color controls offer easy and expert options for simple or fine adjustments. No printed manual is included; documentation is on CD only.
UPSHOT: For those who work with colors and images all day, this is a great choice. Others who have less demanding needs will find other, less expensive displays on our chart that should be more than adequate.
