AOL Enterprise to Offer New Mobile Services

Corporate subscribers will be able to access Lotus Notes databases via AOL, company says.

Corporate subscribers to AOL%squots Internet service will be able to log on to AOL to access Notes%squot databases. Oracle employees also will be able to access the corporate intranet using AOL when they are away from the office.

AOL also announced on Monday that it is entering partnerships with four companies that make security software and with XcelleNet, which makes systems management software for remote users. Those deals are part of the expanded offerings for remote corporate users and will enable secure access to company intranets from remote locations.

Corporate users will receive licenses to use AOL%squots Instant Messenger software so that remote workers can talk to each other online.

Instant Messenger allows users to see the screen names of people as they come online, enabling corporate users to handle business questions and concerns by sending online messages.
