Apps at Your Fingertips

Why should you twist your wrist to open Word, Excel, Windows Explorer, your browser, or your e-mail client when all you need is the tip of your finger? The Office Keyboard is a nonmouser's dream come true. Use the scroll wheel on the keyboard's left side to zip up and down through long documents with a panache you simply can't equal using any mouse in captivity. Employ the function keys to handle printing; spelling checking; and even sending, replying to, and forwarding e-mail. (Pressing F Lock reverts the keys to their standard operations.)

Admittedly, nearly all of the added keys' functions are available on conventional keyboards via Ctrl, Alt, and Windows key combinations. Moreover, the keyboard's layout is distinctly biased against lefties because it assumes that you mouse right-handed. But being able to move between and within Windows apps without taking your hands off the keyboard means more productivity--and more dust on your mouse.
