A Hewlett-Packard system bearing Intel's new 845 chip set enters the Top 10.
Dell's Dimension 8200 retains the top spot, while Polywell's Poly 815TS-1260 moves up to nab the number two Best Buy for the first time. New systems tested this month include HP's Vectra VL420 in ninth place and Micro Express's MicroFlex 1500A at number ten. The Vectra sports Intel's new 845 chip set and a well-designed chassis. The MicroFlex has the lowest price on the chart and achieves respectable performance with its 1.5-GHz P4 CPU, but it comes with a mediocre display.
