Top 10 Value PCs

The new Micro Express MicroFlex 1200C joins our chart as a Best Buy.

The reigning champ of the value chart, NuTrend's Athlon Mega 2, hangs on to the top spot for a second month, thanks to its swift performance and low price. Tangent's Valera PC moves down a notch to third as Micro Express's new MicroFlex 1200C nabs the second Best Buy. The MicroFlex 1200C delivers robust performance, but it's still not as fast as the Valera PC, which has the highest PC WorldBench 2000 score on the chart. Six of the systems in the Top 10 enjoy price drops this month, but none larger than $119. Dell's OptiPlex GX150, previously a long-standing Best Buy, stays on the chart for the seventh month in a row.
