HP Cuts Prices of Pentium II Systems
Vectra VL with a 266-MHz processor, 32MB of RAM, and 4.3GB hard drive will now cost an estimated $1,399.
Hewlett-Packard this week announced price cuts of up to 21 percent on its Pentium II-based PCs and workstations.
The steepest cuts affect the company%squots Vectra PC line. A Vectra VL with a 266-MHz processor, 32MB of RAM, and a 4.3GB hard drive, for example, will now cost an estimated $1,399, HP said.
Prices of the company%squots Brio PCs have been reduced by up to 15 percent, while its Kayak workstations fell in price by as much as 19 percent, HP said.
The price changes are effective immediately, HP said.
