WHAT'S HOT: A video card for $80 that offers S-Video-in and -out, composite-out, and includes an S-Video cable is a bargain--especially when it's accompanied by the respectable GeForce2 MX-400 chip set and 32MB of SDRAM.

WHAT'S NOT: GeForce2 MX-400-based cards aren't known for spectacular performance at high resolutions--and the Pro-VT32S is no exception. The software bundle is rather skimpy as well: There are no games included.

WHAT ELSE: The software bundle contains MSI drivers and an overclocking utility, the MSI DVD player, and InterVideo's WinCoder and WinProducer for those who want to dabble in video editing.

UPSHOT: The Pro VT-32S is a solid buy for casual gamers on a budget who want a little more hardware with their card than just a regular monitor port, but don't expect stellar performance at high resolutions.
